 | An absolutely incredible plant, a true blue orchid, this rare monopodial has narrow 4" to 8" semi-terrete leaves staggered about 1" apart along an erect rarely branching stem, eventually becoming pendant with age, very short spikes bear clusters of up to 15 flowers, the ½" wide blooms have been described as aquamarine blue, translucent Cambridge blue, but regardless it’s blue as opposed all those "coerulea" things out there, blue ovary, blue nectary, blue petals, blue sepals, dark indigo blue patch on the otherwise blue lip, and a white (sorry) pollenia cap |
